Study: Treatment Adherence in Comorbid Depression and Diabetes Leads to Better Outcomes According to a recent retrospective cohort study, individuals who are both diabetic and depressed, but are adherent to taking their medications, have less risk of serious disease complications and death compared with peers who do not take their medications.
