SSRI/SNRI Study: No Increased Cardiac Surgery Bleed Risk A study published in Anesthesia & Analgesia in June 2018 reveals findings by investigators who explored the risk of bleeding in cardiac surgical patients also taking selective serotonin or serotonin norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs/SNRIs) compared to a control group not receiving these psychiatric medications.
