Complications Compound During Longer Anesthesia Duration in Head/Neck Surgery
New research published September 2018 in JAMA Facial Plastic Surgery reveals findings related to the association of anesthesia duration with postsurgical complications in patients undergoing microvascular reconstruction of the neck and head. The researchers found that both medical and surgical complications occurred in patients receiving longer periods of anesthesia, noting that surgical complications increased significantly. Read more.
