The European Association for the Study of Diseases and the American Diabetes Association jointly published a consensus report on the benefits, challenges, and recommendations for use of automated insulin delivery systems—an umbrella term referring to administration systems that incorporate continuous glucose monitoring, insulin dose adjustment algorithms, and an insulin pump to automate subcutaneous insulin delivery. Barriers, Opportunities for Pharmacists in Treating Opioid Use Disorder
The opioid crisis had already existed prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the social restrictions associated with the pandemic have contributed to an increase in illicit opioid use.
