Older Adults Taking Aspirin Might Be at Cardiovascular Risk

Older adults purchasing low-dose aspirin at your pharmacy might be putting themselves at risk by following old guidelines on the use of the product to prevent cardiovascular events. That is according to a survey finding that contrary to current guidelines, 14% of U.S. adults aged 50 to 80 years take preventative aspirin even though they have no history of heart disease. Preoperative Fasting Requirement for Patients on GLP-1 RAs

Purchasers of birth control pills will have an OTC option available in coming weeks with the arrival of the product Opill. The norgestrel tablet was approved by the FDA last summer for nonprescription use to prevent pregnancy.
