Talyst offers a line of
products designed to streamline the medication management processes in
pharmacies serving acute care hospitals, integrated delivery networks, and
long-term care facilities. The company, formerly known as Integrated Health
Systems, aims to increase patient safety and operational efficacy through its
range of products, including the AutoPharm Inventory and Workflow Manager and
Barcode to Dose.
To minimize stocking, picking,
and ordering processes within the pharmacy, Talyst markets the AutoPharm
system. AutoPharm, which combines software and hardware to help manage
inventory and work flow, incorporates order information and drug usage data,
providing real-time inventory of all medications and prioritizing work flow.
AutoCarousel, the hardware component of AutoPharm, automates stocking and
picking and increases medication security. Its "pick-to-light" technology and
barcode verification are intended to improve dispensing speed and accuracy.
The AutoPharm software tracks activities and provides an audit trail and
workload statistics.
Talyst's Barcode to Dose
offers barcode capabilities to hospital pharmacies. Compatible with all major
bedside scanning systems, Barcode to Dose comprises AutoPack and AutoLabel.
AutoPack provides unit-dose and multidose packaging and labeling of oral,
solid medications. Capable of holding 45 to 500 drug canisters, AutoPack
processes up to 60 doses per minute and can suspend batch-fill activity until
priority orders have been completed. AutoLabel produces barcoded labels for
vials, ampoules, ointments, eye drops, IV bags, and creams.
