RS Software introduces two new
integrations to Script Assist, its pharmacy dispensing software, that are
aimed to increase efficiency. Script Assist now contains long-term care
features for pharmacists who service nursing homes, assisted living
facilities, hospices, or retirement homes. The interface allows patients to be
categorized by facility, helping to organize reports and other activities. The
software also enables dosing intervals to be added to drugs and prescriptions.
For internal use, medication reports and medication administration records can
be printed.
Available in the Management
Console, the new Rapid Fill integration has been added to the dispensing
system. This feature allows pharmacists to generate an unlimited amount of
prescriptions for the same patient and physician, as well as an unlimited
number of medications. For each drug, pharmacists can set a default quantity,
number of refills, days supply, and directions. Script Assist may also be used
as a software tool for veterinary compounding pharmacists.
A new feature of the company's
Compound Assist is designed to improve quality control without complicating
the compounding software's user-friendly interface. The Ohaus scale weighs
each ingredient and displays a red, green, or yellow result based on how close
the amount is to the target weight. The bar code of each chemical ingredient
can be scanned and matched to the chemical selected in the list.
